Gallery Wall Woes

This has very little to do with ferm wallpaper today (except for let's please note that pretty pillow in the corner...). But, just like I firmly believe every home could benefit by a boldly wallpaper accent wall, I also strongly feel one can't go wrong with an attention grabbing gallery wall. I just finished mine awhile ago and was wondering if anyone had a tips on how to arrange it better? I went for all black frames. But...

I have a couple extra that I decided to paint black over the weekend (they were originally white, so I'm feeling quite crafty/frugal with the transformation), and now I don't know what to do with them. Continue the arrangement to the corner wall? Let them be? And, would it be terrible to paint that Harry Allen frame black too? Or another color? It is almost too much to think about :) Perhaps, I should take a breather from all this decision making and pop in my latest Mad Men dvd that just arrived in my mail box! Yes, that is most definitely what I need to do.

Wow, we were really on the same wavelength today, weren't we?! Your wall turned out great! And I equally love the table, stool, and everything in the second photo! The Harry Allen frame is just so beautiful I don't think I could bring myself to paint over it but if you did, it would make an AMAZING addition to your wall! I'm not helping at all here, am I? ;)

I *love* your gallery wall. I used to have one in my old studio apartment that everyone just loved to look at. Grouping the images all together made my flea market art & family photos look much more dramatic and interesting.

As for grouping ideas, my boyfriend Ian once worked at the Armand Hammer museum in Los Angeles when there was this Barry McGee instalation. I've loved the way it was displayed on the wall and have always wanted to do something similar in our home.

Christiana, I love your arrangement of frames! But DON'T pain the Harry Allen frame! It'll look great standing against one of your wallpapers somewhere else in your home, I'm sure. Maybe just take a breather : )
