Wallpaper Liner

I just delved into the world of wallpaper liner, so thought I'd share what I've learned so far. It is really quite easy, and a PERFECT solution for bumpy wall owners who want to wallpaper. You prep the rough wall with a quick once over with sandpaper and then rinse the dust of with a wet sponge.

Measure the width of the wall, cut and then paste the back of the paper with wallpaper paste. We put wallpaper paste on the wall too, just to make sure we didn't miss any spots!

Hang the paper horizontally and use a squeegie to get rid of any excess paste. Hug the seams between the strips like you would any wallpaper.

It took about 2 hours to do this wall and now it is almost ready for wallpaper! We just need to let is dry for two days and then prime it prior to wallpapering. We'll be putting up the ribbed in black/beige. Should be so pretty!

Fabulous idea! Thanks for sharing it! I need to do this to cover my fugly wood paneling in the living room/dining room and hallway ASAP. What brand liner and wallpaper did you use?

Hi! I can't remember the brand - I think we ordered it online from Lowes or another bigger chain hardware store. Thanks!
