Spa-ahhh...

Our family moved to a new house this summer, and I've slowly been chipping away at different projects. Christiana's post of her bathroom from yesterday motivated me to knock the master bathroom off our list this afternoon.

One of the main reasons we moved was that our old home, while lovely, had only one shower. As the boys got older, it became clear that we needed separate bathrooms. I wanted a spa-like retreat that would make the morning grind a little more pleasant for my husband and I, and the deep pink walls and yellow vanity were not creating the desired vibe.

So we put in a double sink vanity and added new mirrors and lighting. My father in law and I did all the wiring (okay, he did most of it) and I learned how to repair drywall. A few coats of paint and an accent wall in Little Leaves and now it feels like we're staying in a high end hotel! Now if someone would just gather up the dirty towels once a day...

Hi Christina! I came across your blog from apartment therapy, and I'm so inspired! Awesome posts and photos, which had me thinking and wanting to do the same in my rental...but I have a couple questions, if I may ask:

are there ANY solid colored temporary wallpapers in the world? I've spent way too much time on websites and have come up empty handed.

how difficult is it to take down wallpaper cleanly? I don't mind spending time on it as long as it doesn't damage the walls. Any recommendations for types of paper?

thank you!

Hi Jennie! Oh good, I'm glad you found us :) I don't know about the temporary wallpapers too much, but feel free to get in touch with us (415.318.6412 or info@fermlivingshop.us) and we can try to point you in the right direction and/or walk you through how to remove our wallpapers. They do come off cleanly with wallpaper remover so shouldn't damage the walls at all... .
