Oops, I totally forgot to post this fabulous bathroom with our Fashion Wallpaper on a recent Apartment Therapy tour through the home of Hallie and Mark in Maryland. Isn't it great? We love wallpapered small spaces and the black/white/red combo is one of our favorites.
I also just realized it sure has been a while since the last blog post. Woah. Has this summer been nuts, or what? Anyway, we're looking forward to sharing Ferm Living's new things for fall at the beginning of next month. And, I've been "test driving" some of my favorite ferm things, which I'll be sharing soon too.
Ferm Living wallpapers are now at Hygge Cooperative too!
Along with these sky and sea inspired goodies! Be sure to check them out :)
We were so happy to see our new cutting boards in Elle Decor UK last month. I'm quite smitten with them and just got a couple from my kitchen in the hopes it will motivate me to cook (or at least chop). Chop bloody mary garnish, a the very least. By the way, what is a better way to spend an afternoon than with European shelter magazines and a cocktail?
Okay, maybe riding a bike is? Something else that is making me happy is riding my new bicycle around the city. It is such a pretty green, no? And, yes, I chose the color based on whether it would work with my leopard helmet. It is leaning against what is about to become a wallpapered accent wall. More on that later... I also installed that birdie chandelier and was delighted/dumbfounded that all the bulbs worked. Although I know there's a scientific explanation, it felt like a miracle.
Love these pictures of our Berry Black wallpaper that a customer just put up in the guest room. Such a beautiful design - one of my favorites!
Looks perfect with the gray walls! Thanks, Megan!
Wall Sticker boxes actually make great garage decor. Or at least that's what my parents think, I guess... And, my little nephew Eli thinks his grandpa makes the best homemade ice cream. That's my interpretation of this photo my mom just sent me, anyway.
Happy Weekend!
Don't miss our Summer Sale. Seriously. I also recommend using the SUMMERSOLSTICE code at checkout for even more savings! Speaking of, the Solstice is tomorrow. It's a big deal in Denmark, so I feel compelled to make it a big deal as well. As in I'll be drinking gin and tonics on a deck somewhere in the sun...
This is my dad. A long time ago... Very James Dean, no? Little did he know then that he'd become one of the best fathers a daughter could ask for.
Here's the rest of his family an equally long time ago. I love this picture for some reason most likely having to do with the wallpaper and the mystery of what everyone is looking at. Thought I'd include this shot too, because that happens to be my wonderful uncle that I miss very much. I never got to meet my grandpa but based on his two sons, I know I would have liked him a lot. Happy Father's Day!
We were working on a wallpaper install a couple weeks ago which involved some serious wallpaper removal.
A second layer of wallpaper was revealed, which made me realize just how much hidden history can be found in an old house. Made me smile and think a bit about life. Wallpaper can do that :)
My favorite thermo mug found a new home! Alongside, this lovely present I got for my birthday last year. It's a little bit chaotic on the shelf, I know. But that's the way life is sometimes...
What a fun surprise to bump into our Apple Tree Tea Towel at the de Young gift shop over the weekend. I'd always suspected it was fine art.
After perusing through the museum, we took in some brass band sounds at the pavilion close by. Did you know this band plays for free every Sunday in Golden Gate Park and has been doing so since 1882? Pretty incredible. I'm planning on spending many more (*sunny) Sundays strolling around the park. Hope to see you there!
Just a little project I finished up last weekend using one of my favorite techniques - double stick tape. I used some mirror tiles to cover up a less than inspiring fireplace finish, complimented by my favorite knitted basket!
So, I woke up the first morning in my new bed, in my new apartment to read this fun article in the San Francisco Chronicle about my favorite decor items! These, of course, include a touch of Ferm Living in the form of my new throw blanket. My fourth favorite thing is that necklace I'm wearing. And, my fifth favorite thing is having coffee in stock (which did not happen...). 4 steps forward, 1 step back. Not bad, right? Thanks so much for the nice write-up, Anh-Minh!
I just did a spring colors post over at mydeco (an amazing London-based company that's now in the US), if you're in the mood for some happiness, check it out! Now, if you're lucky enough to live in London and you're in the mood for some print making, check out this event my friends at Yellow Owl Workshop are doing with Urban Outfitters. Complete with breakfast canapes. Does it get any better?
I actually love it when I have an excuse to stay in on a Saturday night, eat take out and watch HGTV. So, I was extra thrilled to see Emily's tweet on Saturday morning hinting that Ferm Living might be on Secrets of a Stylist that night! Emily used our gold branches to help transform a bachelor pad into chicer space for two! We adore how it turned out. We also were happy when they noted how easy it was to put the wall sticker up. According to my (mental) notes, I believe the exact phrasing was: "that was so easy!"
Here's the mood board Emily created for the room. I spy some ribbed wallpaper in black/beige! The room looked so fabulous - lots of neutrals and texture with bright hits of yellow (and gold, of course). We'll post more when the video goes up on hgtv.com. So fun!
Jason and Amee just sent over this picture of some feather wallpaper they just put up in their bedroom. The organic patterns looks so nice with the clean lined furniture and gray walls! Simple and calm. Sort of makes me want to crawl back into my own feather bed. Why isn't is Saturday, yet? Thanks so much for sharing your home with with us, Jason and Amee!
