I went to visit my friend Rachel at her lovely home in the North Bay last week. Isn't it so charming and pretty? I stopped by to catch up over lunch and help her wallpaper her nursery!
She'd left a note for me in the entry way. I'm going to start doing this - so sweet and unexpected.
That her entry way features some of our wallpaper (birds on branches) was also a bonus.
One of the many reasons she fell for her husband was his great taste in art as evidenced by this fantastic painting...
So...I had to kill a little time between a meeting and happy hour yesterday, and figured what better way to do this than a stroll around Anthropologie. I was so excited to see the Decorate book there, written by Holly Becker of decor8 and Joanna Copestick, since I've been hearing such great things about it!
It did not disappoint. Not one bit! I loved the photography, mix of interiors and the many inspiring wallpaper applications throughout! My favorite thing? Of course, spying some Ferm Living pillows on the pages. What a fantastic surprise. Above are our velo, bird cage and tree bomb pillows sitting so pretty!
Now, this room is perfection. And, I'm not just saying that because I see a couple more ferm living pillows :) The chair, the rug, my favorite lighting in the world. It is too good. Too good!
This little DIY vase also caught my attention. I love the use of silver sequins with a freshly cut, soft pink rose - reminds me of Morocco! (All images from Decorate.)
That's right. It is a "night light" of sorts illuminating our beautiful forest flower wallpaper. I just bumped into this picture in an old email file. I'm not sure if it was ever published with copy, but it was going to be used in an advertisement. I was always so curious to see how it turned out. Did it increase sales? Am thinking, yes. Wallpaper usually does ;) Happy Weekend!
Phew, we just finished up transferring our web shop to a new platform and uploading all of our new things for Spring! We're hoping this site will be a smoother to navigate, and it'll be a lot easier to manage on our end. When we first started selling Ferm Living in 2007 there were only about 40 products, and now there are over 300!

We've been in the process of transferring Ferm Living Shop over to a new platform over the past few days, as well as uploading all our new things for spring. I really don't understand how websites work. It is quite complicated. Hopefully this explains why I feel like I have lost my mind. It'll be worth it though! For example, check out the gorgeousness of these new pillows. This is the picture for our new home page, by the way. I just love the simplicity of it - pure white windows and walls, and those modern, graphic pillows mixed with a vintage, ethnic wool rug. Ahhh, breathing it in!
I was just playing around on mydeco and put together this moodboard for my new living room. Granted, I don't actually know what the living room is going to look like since I haven't found it yet (I've just started my SF apartment hunt!), but why not be prepared. I'll probably add a touch of color into the space, but at the moment, I'm really feeling blacks, grays, whites, and metallics with wood, leather and wool. The necklace picture is taken from a Cartier book, and I'm planning on turning it into a big piece of art. That's my dream Beni Ourain up in the corner - hoping that someone in Morocco can find me one just like it. I've included my favorite ferm LIVING accessories, and the wallpaper is launching next month from our sister site Hygge & West! So... now that my 500th post has come and gone, I'm off to celebrate (and/or go to the grocery store...).

She recently put up our wilderness wallpaper in gold in her son's nursery, and we think it looks so beautiful!

I've really been loving Ferm Living's new cutting boards from the spring collection. (They'll be available for pre-order next month!) Don't you think they are so sweet?
I feel like if I had a couple of these little guys, I might be compelled to actually chop something, which might lead to cooking something... Only time will tell, I guess.
We LOVE this cozy study nook at the end of Lara's hallway! So pretty, and what a creative use of extra space! She used our Tree Bomb wallpaper to add in a more natural feel and work with the wood ceiling. Such a nice mix of materials!

We were so excited to see our Remix wallpaper featured in the New York Times today's Shopping with Barbara Bestor. Architect and author, she chose Remix as one her favorites for its clean lines and cool blues. We agree!
