3+ Wallpaper Wednesday

Aimee picked this Parisian inspired table from Wisteria this week to wallpaper around. To offset the vintage I went with a super modern chair. Added a bit of nature with the fir tree wallpaper. And this lovely frame idea from The Selby via Remodelista. Voila!

Walldots in the House

Just saw this cool picture on Flickr and thought I'd post. Love the orange wall hanging and how it works so well with the walldots in bronze!

3+ Wallpaper Wednesday (Thursday)

We're wallpapering around this leather butterfly chair from Urban Outfitters today. I'm pretty obsessed with it at the moment. I thought it would look great with the fir tree design. To keep it modern, I added in a bright yellow side table. The finishing touch - my favorite tea set!

Autumn in Paris!

I know Paris is known for springtime gloriousness, but I suspect autumn in Paris might be even better? Maybe that is because I love autumn in New York, and I equate the two as being equally fabulous cities? I dream about Paris all the time, so was delighted to get the new rolls of ferm living collection only to find the map design is a sketch of Paris streets! Aimee and I are both brainstorming ways to incorporate this new wallpaper into our homes! You can never be reminded of strolling the streets of Paris too often, I think.

On an extremely related note, I just went to see Paris last night. I highly recommend. It was all for living in the moment! And, it even made Paris in winter very appealing!

Feeling Sleepy

I'm a bit sleepy this morning. Woke up early with the phone ringing, thought is was Wednesday for about half and hour, can't find any coffee in my place... So, I guess it's fitting to blog about one of my favorite sleep aids - pillows. We were really excited to be included in Apartment Therapy's line up for best throw pillow sources 2009! Thanks, AT!

ferm LIVING on Flickr

I just came across the most lovely home on Flickr by member peachheights. You should really check out her entire photo stream, as there are many inspiring before and afters. Her penny tile kitchen backsplash is to die for. The best part, however, in my biased opionion? The wallpaper, of course!

She used the family tree in this guest room! I love the simple white decor with the dramatic walls. And, I'm a big fan of decorating with white Christmas light when they are done right like these ones!



The entry way, here includes such cool, retro flooring that works perfectly with our waldots! Am having some serious home envy. In a good way :)

3+ Wallpaper Wednesday

Aimee picked this shelving unit to wallpaper around today. I went with the organic feel of one of our new designs (available to purchase next week!!!), Retro Leaves, to soften the clean lines of the shelves. Then, mixed in a vintage gold horse and a yellow eames rocker which I found in this lovely write up at Remodelista.


For the shelves, here are two books that have been making the blog rounds and are currently on my wish list!

Big Design in a Tiny Space

This month's Sunset features its Idea House - a clever, tiny prefab home built by Modern Cabana. Perhaps the most clever thing about it is our coat tree wall sticker which provides design and utility without taking up much space at all!


We might be biased, of course... We were so excited to see it in print!
They also used some ribbed wallpaper to spruce up file cabinets. Another clever solution to the mundane, yes?

Wallpaper & Spice

Was checking out the sneak peeks on Design*Sponge this morning and excitedly came across this beautiful kitchen wallpapered in Berry Black by the owners of Whimsy & Spice. Their whole home is so lovely, but for obvious reasons, this room is my favorite!

A Closer Look

Jim sent over these fun pictures of the Ribbed wallpaper that he recently put up in his home. It is always a highlight to see pictures like this that show just how fantastic wallpaper looks in our customers' homes! And, yes, I love that red chair :)



Jim and his wife, Sara, put it up themselves, and said it was much easier than they imagined! They also happen to have a super cute pup, Bill, who was camera shy, but you can check him out here, along with their other handiwork!


Here are a couple more pictures that my friend Lara sent over from the family tree wallpaper I helped her hang a couple weeks ago (here's the before). What a pretty nook to work in!

Bindweed Dreams

Andrea, from the Maiden Metallurgist, just sent over this link to a fabulous (and super cheap project) she did with our bindweed wallpaper. Using some scrap plywood, she created this lovely headboard/work of art! Thank you, Andrea! Sweet dreams...

3+ Wallpaper Wednesday

I've been loving the new WellConsidered collection at the Conran Shop, so today we decided to wallpaper around the lovely Henry Sofa. I went with Wilderness in black, which has rather subtle color combo, so that I could add in some artwork this time. My art pick is a piece I've been eyeing created by my friend, Silvia. And then, throw in some red wool pillows for a punch of color!

Apartment Therapy is having a color contest this month. Our vote is, of course, for Jennifer's lovely green kitchen and use of ferm LIVING's branches wall sticker! Such a happy space!

A Pretty Powder Room
