Rachel and Ryan threw a little Oscar party last night which included two very special guests, baby Calum and baby Olivia. Lucky for us, they also Tivo'd the show, and because the babies needed to go to bed early, we were able to condense the Oscar highlights into a 2 hour event (instead of 5...) which still included watching Gary Busey's red carpet appearance three times. Awesome.
Olivia and Calum were not that impressed with what they were seeing on the red carpet this year.
Before the show, I helped Calum's dad put up some wall stickers in his nursery. Calum couldn't wait to go to sleep in a field of red flowers and playful butterflies and dragonflies.
Thanks so much for having us over!

ferm LIVING in South Park
Why has no one told us about this site before? Aimee and I found it very hard to get work done yesterday knowing we could be spending time perfecting how we would look as South Park characters. Aimee's above. Aimee, cute shirt, but you look a little tired?
Here's me picking out a perfect shade of grey paint for my bathroom. I've decided to wallpaper the ceiling in Little Leaves and then paint it a more interesting color. So, my expression above should be interpreted as one of nervous excitement!
Have a great weekend!

Pup Tarts!
So... I just started subscribing to Everyday with Rachael Ray thinking that it might motivate me to pull it together in the kitchen. It was through one of those weird offers where they give you 5 magazines free for 6 months, and then I'm not really sure what's next. I'm so happy (at least until I find out what happens after the free situation ends) that I did though, because I just spotted our ferm LIVING birds flying around some lucky dog's slice of quiche. Too cute! And, how pretty are the silver birds against the blue?
By the way, can someone explain why Rachael is ALWAYS smiling? Can a person really enjoy cooking that much?
Speaking of over-indulged pups, I can't resist sharing this picture of Wade, Aimee's newest addition to her family. I don't think he's supposed to be on the couch, but who could resist letting him stay there? Just for a little bit...

Pillow Talk
ferm LIVING just launched it's nature-inspired pillow collection, and we can't wait to rest our heads on these feather-filled beauties!
Here's the Tassette in black and white.
Weed in petrol blue.
Wilderness in black and white (and soon to me mine!)
Ribbed in curry.
Look for our pillow collection on a couch near you this May!

ferm SLEEPING
ferm LIVING just launched its new bedding line at the Scandinavian design fair, Formland, in Denmark. We're so excited about it and can't wait to get the US sizing. Right now it is only available in European sizing, which is oddly small. Trust me, the US sizing will be worth the wait! Above are the berry black and plywood designs. I put those first because those are the two I'm debating between for my bedroom. Please feel free to help me out. Below... Bindweed in yellow (so cheerful!)
Family Tree in petrol (so striking!)
Feathers in reverse (so lovely!)
Wall Dots (rather sexy, yes?)
You can check out all the designs at www.ferm-living.com. We're hoping these will be available in early summer, and will do our best to get them here asap!

Love is in the Air!
And in the kitchen.
And the bedroom.
And on the couch.
We're so excited to show you a couple of our new products featuring one of our very favorite designs! The new tea towels and pillows will be available in May. Just another reason to look forward to Spring!
And, I thought I'd include the loveliness happening over at Lekker Home in Boston. So sweet! And, a huge thumbs up on their Savon de Marseilles soap. I have it in cherry tree, and it makes me want to wash my hands as often as Hillary Clinton...
To top things off, we just got a Daily Candy shout out too!
Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I'm Hooked!
ferm LIVING just launched a new wall sticker design at the Formland Scandinavian design fair in Denmark a couple weeks ago, and I'm truly in love with it! I adore coat trees, and I think this space saving one is just genius. We'll have these coat trees in stock in about two more weeks.
Of course, I couldn't wait to test it out. Here's the before.
Later on that same day...
And, I'm hooked...
We can't wait to show you all the other new products that we'll be adding to our line-up in the next few months. Please check back again soon!

AT's in the House!
One of my very favorite design blogs, Apartment Therapy, posted a House Call of my apartment this morning. You can check it out here. I've been so excited about it that I don't know quite what to say, except that I really hope you like it. Thank you so very much, Anh-Minh! That was so much fun!

Green Tea for Two
One of my dearest friends is obsessed with the color green. So, when I stopped by yesterday, I wasn't all that surprised to find myself sipping green tea on her green couch while trying to figure out how her crafty mom knit her a green sweater with this amazing green collar. What did surprise me was the Love Birds Wall Sticker she and her husband had happily placed over their living room window. Too charming! Please thank your mom for the wonderful dinner and (hopefully not too complicated) knitting instructions, CL!

Happy Super Tuesday!
I woke up extra early (in my opinion) today to get some things done before hitting the voting booth. Since I rarely catch the sunrise and like to imagine that most people get to enjoy sleeping in long after the morning sun lights up the sky, I thought I'd share a picture of something us late-risers don't often get to see. So pretty!
On my way back from voting, I walked by Eden & Eden to find another bright surprise. Rachel used some of our wallpaper to create a clever peek-through-the-window display.
Tatty Divine's silvery chandelier necklace - a favorite of mine.
Classic Wedgewood with a modern twist. Cheerio!
A heart felt love note perfectly composed for your beloved on a dainty, felted doily perfectly crafted for you (and me... I stitched seven of them into a fun little table runner; highly recommend this!).
Looks like some Tuesdays are better than others. Hope you're having a great one!

ferm LEARNING
Lake Harriet Montessori just got even more clever, as Aimee's little boy, Jackson, brought in a couple wall stickers to share with his classmates. So cute! Almost as cute as when Jack sang We Will Rock You to me over the phone. You rock Queen out, buddy!
Thank you, Jack! Next time I visit, I'm teaching you that Soulja Boy dance, no matter what your mom says...

Lighting Things Up
Last weekend, ferm LIVING participated in the South Bay Home and Garden Show with Eden & Eden. We were thrilled with the response to our wallpaper and wall stickers. The guest presenters at the show also confirmed that wallpaper is back, not that you all didn't already know it, of course :) No comment on the carpeting, but the booth looked fabulous... and, oh how I do want that lamp! Thank you, Rachel!!!
